The large black space

SUMMARY
I tried to edit equirectangular videos from Xiaomi Mi Sphere. The original resolution is 3840 x 1920. On other video editor, usually I just drop the video and the editor will choose the best project setting. When I will render it, I will just confirm that the remain space will be cropped instead of being black.
I tried to do the same on Kdenlive but apparently it does not work. Kdenlive choose the 1080 setup for my video. When I customized it to make the resolution same with the original video (3840 x 1920), large black space appear around my clip and it is still there after I render the video.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set the project setting to be 3840 x 1920
2. Drop the video with resolution 3840x1920
3. Render the video as 4K with no further setting.

OBSERVED RESULT
Black space around the clip.

EXPECTED RESULT
The project monitor and result video show the exact resolution as I expected (3840x1920) without black space.

Thanks for your report. Could you please create a new project as described using your 3840x1920 settings, drop the video in it, save the project and attach the .kdenlive project file to this bug report ?

Ah. Sorry. I just realized something.
First time I made the video, it is on Kdenlive 17. Then, when I realized the problem, I upgraded my Kdenlive to version 18.
I opened my Kdenlive 17's file on Kdenlive 18. The problem are still there.
But when I tried to make new project with the same video in Kdenlive 18, the problem does not occur.
Is there any way to move my clips made on Kdenlive 17 to new project on Kdenlive 18?

For anyone who face the same problem:
1. Uninstall the your Kdenlive 17
2. Install the latest Kdenlive 18
3. Create new project in Kdenlive 18
4. Create Proxy Clip for each clip
The 4K equirectangular videos work seamlesslyy on Kdenlive 18.
