SUMMARY

Any annotations on specific .pdf file makes text disappear. On other .pdf files annotations work as expected.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open my .pdf book
2. Annotate (freehand line, highlight)


OBSERVED RESULT

Said .pdf loses its text.

EXPECTED RESULT

.pdf shouldn't lose its text

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Neon 5.14

KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.3

This works for me, i'm pretty sure we fixed this in poppler.

Problem is neon is stuck in an old poppler and there's nothing we can do to fix it, but that's neon's problem, not an okular bug.

You may want to give okular from flathub a try, that one has a newer poppler and should not have this bug.

I installed okular as a flatpak and the problem doesn't exit. Thanks for clearing this up, I guess I'll wait for neon updates. (poppler will be updated right? or does it have to do with ubuntu versions?)

As far as i know poppler doesn't get updated in KDE Neon, but i'm not really a KDE Neon person so you should ask them about it.
