Hi Nate, thanks for taking a look into this. I don't think the bug report itself is a dup of 391669 - only the "Additional Information" part seems to be. The actual bug report is about the installed Kipi plugins not being visible in Gwenview. Maybe I should have reported this in two different reports. I've reopened the bug, if you think this is still due to the missing Appstream metadata, feel free to ignore me and close it again!
I see, that makes sense, thanks!
I can't reproduce with gwenview 18.12.2 on Arch Linux.
Me neither!
I can still reproduce this on Neon Dev Stable: Gwenview does not show any KIPI plugins. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Neon Dev Stable (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.1 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.56.0 Qt Version: 5.12.0 Gwenview: 18.12.2

Confirmed here, no menu "Plugins" in Gwenview lsb_release -a Distributor ID: Neon Description: KDE neon User - 5.26 Release: 20.04 Codename: focal plasma-desktop 5.26.0 kipi-plugins 22.08.1
Support for Kipi plugins has been removed, as most were broken, and overall the product did not offer a good user experience.
