When you press the shortcut to "Show desktop" it doesn't minimize windows. Instead, it just puts them in a hidden state and recalls all of them when a window is opened or restored. It's quite annoying if you for example click on an icon on the desktop and all windows directly reappear. The feature exists in other desktops and Microsoft Windows. See f.e https://askubuntu.com/questions/13709/is-there-a-keybind-to-minimize-all-windows-without-a-toggle An option would be sufficient for me, but the default "show desktop state" is kind of confusing.
There's a separate minimize all. See system settings -> window management -> scripts And the relevant shortcut "Minimize all" in global keyboard shortcuts
Could it be enabled/configured by default?
Perfect. Somewhat NONOBVIOUS though. :)
