SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. install plasma integration extension on Chrome on a Kubuntu on a device (eg a desktop)
2. switch to a different device (eg a notebook) where Chrome auto-syncs the profile (extensions too) which is a non-KDE env (eg. Xfce)

OBSERVED RESULT
periodic (every few minutes) popup about the plugin feeling down


EXPECTED RESULT
plugin detects that it's being run on a non-KDE env, and goes to sleep
