Description Thomas Bohn 2018-11-18 18:04:26 UTC
SUMMARY
It would be goood to have a setting that ensures that all files during saving get datetime from the exif data as datetime for last change.
With this functionality photos can be modified with no distortion of sorting.
Now digikam normal saves files and all files are getting the actual datetime from the system, mesans the datetime of modification.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open a file
2. do sometging with it
3. save it

OBSERVED RESULT
File has actual datetime as change datetime.

EXPECTED RESULT
File should be have a datetimwe of last change that is identical to exif datetime.

You have the option in the digiKam metadata setting to deactivate the update of the timestamp. Then the modification date of the file is preserved. Just tested, works.

Hello Maik,

I also have tested it, works like a charm.
Many thanks!
