Hi!
I do not know if I can explain the problem, but come on.
I'm running Kdenlive version 17.12.3, everything works fine and suddenly when I try to open, save as or insert files,
the window where the file manager should appear appears transparent, only the borders appear.

I downloaded version 18.08.2 (appimage) In this version, many visual aspects like buttons and strange icons and items barely distributed in the transitions windows
and effects. But it is working. I was unable to upgrade from the previous version. Seriously, I did not find it.

Funny thing is that it is already the third time that it happens, and the trick after it goes back to working alone ....
I already read everything there is and I did not see anything like it, I searched the kdenlive forum and had no answer ...

I thought it might be something involving xfce ...

EXPECTED RESULT

You are not the only one with this problem. I have to search for a similar case. But try the following: go to settings -> switch on/off “Force Breeze Icon Theme” several times. Or try with the actual AppImage 18.08.3.

It seems you have some “left over” from a previous Kdenlive installation. Rename/delete“ kdenliverc” see here: https://community.kde.org/Kdenlive/Configuration.
