Created attachment 115947 [details] screenshot Dolphin asks for password to mount my partition, a redundant error message shows up if I cancel the password dialog. See my screenshot please. The following phrases are very similar: "You are not authorized to perform this operation" "Not authorized to perform operation" Maybe the second one can be removed. SOFTWARE VERSIONS Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.51 Qt Version: 5.12 beta3
This string is built in two places: - https://lxr.kde.org/source/kde/applications/dolphin/src/panels/places/placesitemmodel.cpp - KIO: https://lxr.kde.org/source/frameworks/kio/src/filewidgets/kfileplacesmodel.cpp The middle string ("you are not authorized to perform this operation") comes from Solid: https://lxr.kde.org/source/frameworks/solid/src/solid/devices/backends/udisks2/udisksdevice.cpp I'll see if I can sort out what's going on here. CCing Stefan Brüns too since he's very knowledgeable about Solid.
It may be my setup but I'm not prompted for a password to mount drives. I ran an unmount and was prompted, cancelled the password input and the messages was displayed in Dolphin but wasn't a popup that needed dismissing. Patrick can you please confirm if this is still an issue?
Still an issue with Dolphin 20.08.2 on Arch Linux. Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.75.0 Qt Version: 5.15.1
