STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Start VLC through Application Launcher or KRunner. 2. Open any media file with previously opened VLC player. OBSERVED RESULT No media player tray icon appearing in panel - it's located in hidden icons (not tray icon of VLC player itself but Plasma media player tray icon). SOFTWARE VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon Developer Edition KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.80 Qt Version: 5.11.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.52.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Open another media file with VLC and - media player tray icon appears No reproducible with SMPlayer
I just tested, it is working fine for me. Can you check with latest Plasma?
