Description Filip Fila 2018-10-24 23:36:36 UTC
SUMMARY
The title is pretty self-explanatory, I don't know if it happens with some other icon theme, but with Papirus-Adapta you get a plasmashell crash if you try to change Kickoff's icon.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set Adapta-Papirus as your icon theme
2. Try to change Kickoff's icon

OBSERVED RESULT
Plasmashell crashes

EXPECTED RESULT
You can change the icon

SOFTWARE VERSIONS
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.1
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.51
Qt Version: 5.11.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is what plasmashell spews out during the ordeal:
"
KCrash: Attempting to start /usr/bin/plasmashell from kdeinit
sock_file=/run/user/1000/kdeinit5__0
KCrash: crashing... crashRecursionCounter = 2
KCrash: Application Name = plasmashell path = /usr/bin pid = 13900
KCrash: Arguments: /usr/bin/plasmashell
"
Let me know if I can help with some more detailed logging and how. I also tried this out with a completely new user and the same happened.
