SUMMARY
After running System Monitor (ksysguard) for several minutes, the value for the eighth thread becomes 3e+06% and its line in the graph goes to the top. Also the value for memory usage drops to zero. Closing the application and reopening temporarily corrects the problem.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open ksysguard (system monitor)
2. Leave application running
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
Unreasonable values for some system metrics

EXPECTED RESULT
Accurate values for all system metrics

Fixed in a later version of Plasma. If you prefer LTS versions, I recommend 5.12. If you're more adventurous, 5.14 was just recently released. 5.8 is pretty old at this point.
