SUMMARY STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Import .svg files from folder which name contains question mark. 2. Add file to the timeline. OBSERVED RESULT There was a white screen. EXPECTED RESULT The picture should be shown. I just tried with the 18.08.2 AppImage. Created "tes?u" folder. Put in 1 clip. Open Kdenlive and import that clip into the bin and drag it onto the timeline. I see the clip on project and clip monitor. Try with the AppImage.

It takes my time. So I report the problem for other people. I will try again.
And there was no problem with movie files. Only *.svg files problem.

Again, without questionmark there is no problem.
Thanks for hte help. Confirmed. If the path or the clip contains a no standard unicode character the clip get not viewed.
This is fixed in latest version.
