Parts of Konsole are used to make 
https://github.com/lxqt/qtermwidget?files=1
Above is a library but can't be LGPL due few of the used Konsole files are GPL only. 

Any chance that these files get relicensed to LGPL so that libqtermwidget can be linked against?

Per https://community.kde.org/Policies/Licensing_Policy, it seems possible to re-license the library components to LGPL.

Justin, I thought there was something that would've happened, like re-licensing it to LGPL, meanwhile I've moved forward and used a different solution, but yes it answers the question. Thanks for your time.
