Eg. in dolphin tapping a folder just selects it, tapping it again and you can rename it. In non-KDE apps (tried in firefox), tapping on touchscreen works. Gestures like two finger scrolling works in all apps (KDE and non-KDE). If in system settings I disable then tapping on touch screen woks for both KDE and non-KDE apps.
Seems that it was QT related and it is working OK in QT 5.12
