Description Alexander Potashev 2018-10-10 12:21:57 UTC
SUMMARY
Unstable order of menu items under "Settings": "Manage R packages and plugins..." and "Configure RKWard..." are ordered alphabetically, thus they can go in different orders in different localizations.

EXPECTED RESULT
Please set a fixed order, e.g. "Configure RKWard..." may always be the last item in the Settings menu.

SOFTWARE VERSIONS
KDE Frameworks 5.48.0,
Qt 5.11.1 (собрана с версией 5.11.1)
RKWard 0.7.0b

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Comment 1 Thomas Friedrichsmeier 2018-10-10 14:07:30 UTC
Excuse my ignorance, but do you happen to have a pointer, where (what API) I should look for this?
Comment 2 Christoph Feck 2018-10-10 14:27:14 UTC
rkwardui.rc determines ordering of action items. Currently, "configure_packages" is the last action, but since there is a separator, it looks intentionally placed there?
Comment 3 Thomas Friedrichsmeier 2018-10-10 15:04:23 UTC
The intention was to have "Manage R packages and plugins..." (aka "configure_packages") last in the menu, with a separator, above. But this bug claims the order is undetermined. In fact, looking at this, now, "configure_packages" does _not_ end up as the last entry in the Settings menu in an English locale (although it's not ordered alphabetically, either).
Comment 4 Alexander Potashev 2018-10-10 17:05:49 UTC
May be it's not always alphabetical, it just happened to be here.

Thanks. The order as seen in your screenshot is definitely not what was intended, but it's the same in English.

Did you actually observe the menu item jumping around depending on language? Just so we know where to look for the cause of the issue.

The order is now the same in English. May be I noticed this instability problem in an older version of RKWard.

(In reply to Alexander Potashev from comment #7)
> problem in an older version of RKWard.

I meant older than Git master.
