Sometimes, selecting text deletes said text.

I don't know how to reproduce it. It happened once when editing a draft, and once in a new email I was writing.

Selected text is deleted, and if I hold the left button on my mouse it deletes everything from the pointer to the end of the email.

Could you try to change color style to breeze and verify if you still have this problem ?

Okay I'm now on breeze (regular, not the dark one. Would the dark one be okay?)

Also I remembered checking "use custom colors" under Kmail>settings>configure Kmail>Appearance>tab "color">box "use custom colors"

I unchecked it

I will test for a while and come back to you.

I haven't experienced this issue with the light theme.

It's a workaround, the bug isn't fixed.

So it's a color bug not a kmail bug.
Perhaps you can report to color system or other but for sure it's not a kmail bug
