SUMMARY
Dock background opacity doesn't change too much with the plasma theme "Aether Dark"

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Change the desktop theme to [Aether Dark](https://store.kde.org/p/1245521/)
2. Change the dock opacity to 0%

OBSERVED RESULT
The opacity of the dock background changes very little.

EXPECTED RESULT
The dock background opacity changes more, like the change of the panel.

that theme is broken and I have wrote it in the comments (user psifidotos) . The shadows for panel background are missing an element needed by plasma-frameworks, shadow-center . 

One thing you can do is to disable Shadows for Background. It should fix this until its developers fixes this...
