Redundant empty thumbnails dock area

SUMMARY
In thumbnails view, the thumbnails are shown in the main area. In addition, digikam shows an empty space in area where typically the thumbnail dock is shown.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start digikam
2. Select any album
3. Switch to thumbnails view

OBSERVED RESULT
In location where thumbnails dock (while in Preview mode) remains an empty space. It is possible to right-click on the area and activate "Digikam Thumbnail Dock", which displays the thumbnails in the bar, but which does not make much sense in Thumbnails view, however.
