Created attachment 115322 [details] Default selection-highlight rename in Gwenview Renaming an image in Gwenview (F2, or right click > Rename) will have [filename].[extension] selected. This leads to having to unselect the file ending if your intention was merely to rename the image. That, or you have to type in the file extension in addition to the desired file name. I suggest it be more practical to have only [filename] selected by default. That, or have an option in Settings which would toggle [name.extension] vs [name only]. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Rename image in Gwenview OBSERVED RESULT Both [file name] and [file extension] is selected by default. EXPECTED RESULT Only [file name] to be selected by default. SOFTWARE VERSIONS KDE Plasma Version: 5.12.7 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.47.0 Qt Version: 5.9.5 Distro: Kubuntu 18.04 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Gwenview: 17.12.3
This was fixed in https://commits.kde.org/gwenview/e85f4b589b93a5648b0150dca435018cd2fbae02 and is available in Gwenview 18.04.
Ah, great stuff! Close and all that, then.
