SUMMARY My laptop has a special keyboard key to enable/disable the touchpad. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. start wayland session 2. press the special keyboard key to disable your touchpad 3. restart Wayland session (ctrl+alt+del, enter), try to enable your touchpad by pressing the special key OBSERVED RESULT OSD shows up indicating that your touchpad is still disabled. Press the same key again: again OSD indicates that your device is still disabled. Press the key a third time: now your touchpad is finally re-enabled. EXPECTED RESULT After Plasma session to be restarted, the touchpad should be re-enabled when the key is pressed for the first time SOFTWARE VERSIONS KDE neon Developer Edition KDE Plasma: 5.14.80 Qt: 5.11.1 KDE Frameworks: 5.51.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION cannot reproduce under X11.
