To make it working, you need to create an assistant first (select Assistant Tool, in Tool Options docker select the correct kind of assistant, click on the canvas to create it), only if you have an assistant select to Freehand Brush Tool, then you need to go to Tool Options docker and check "Snap to Assistants". It won't work without it.

Please check if it works and if it works, change the bug report status from NEEDSMOREINFO -> WAITINGFORINFO to RESOLVED -> NOT A BUG. If it doesn't, please provide more information according to the template: steps to reproduce (what exactly are you doing, step by step) and results (what you see on a canvas). You can read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting to learn more about reporting bugs (especially Step 6).

Btw some notes about using bug tracker: if you make a new bug report, please 1) make sure you provide information needed to reproduce a bug (make it happen on other computers), filling the template provided (summary, steps to reproduce, observed + expected results) is always a good start; 2) remove all unnecessary leftovers of the template from your report (software versions in this case), 3) I'm pretty sure you shouldn't put "Critical" importance on your bug report, it can be done only by other people, presumably developers. "Normal" is just enough.

Due to the nondescriptness of the bug report and the general lack of information, it is getting closed as "NOT A BUG". If you need any more help, please go to forum https://forum.kde.org/viewforum.php?f=139 (Krita General Help, preferable place to get support), #krita on IRC (but keep in mind this is a developer IRC, not support, but they can help you if they have time), or reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/krita/ . The Krita Manual website is: https://docs.krita.org .

If from the places mentioned above you get the information that it's clearly a bug and not just the usage mistake (i.e. not knowing how to use a specific tool), please read about making a proper bug report and reopen this bug report providing all necessary information.

Thank you for your support for Krita development.
