STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. insert and audio cd into your optical device and wait your system to recognize it 2. cick device notifier in the system tray, choose "Open with file manager" action 3. OBSERVED RESULT Plasma shows a notification, see my screenshot. Such notitication is inconsistent (it's not shown when I open the audio cd directly in Dophin), it's not user-friendly (weird "audiocd:/?device=..." term) and unnecessary. Also redundant "Open" button. EXPECTED RESULT plasma should not show such notification SOFTWARE VERSIONS KDE Plasma Version: 5.14 beta KDE Frameworks Version: 5.50 Qt Version: 5.11.2

Created attachment 122654 [details] notification on Plasma 5.16.5 The notification is a bit different on Plasma 5.16.5, but this issue persists.

Sorry, but to my knowledge, nothing can be done on the KIO-AudioCD side. The string "Examining" is sent by the generic KIO core after the stat() job. Plasma notification widget (Dolphin notifications are the separate thing) shows file operations by default (can be configured). And it adds this " (Finished)" part. Do not know what to do to make it work as expected without breaking some third-party parts. :(
