Created attachment 115233 [details] Screenshot showing the discrepancy between the time of the pictures and the time of the Adjust Time Date tool. SUMMARY I tried to edit some metadata using the Adjust Time Date tool. When I select one or more images and use that tool, the Timestamp Used and Timestamp Updated columns show the correct date, but the time is always 00:00:00. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Select any picture 2. Open "Adjust Time Date" tool 3. Compare the field "Timestamp Used" and "Timestamp Updated" with the actual time of the picture. OBSERVED RESULT Time is always 00:00:00. See attached example. EXPECTED RESULT Time should be the time of the picture. SOFTWARE VERSIONS digiKam-6.0.0-beta1-20180920T204303-Win64.exe for Windows 10 64bit.
Completely correct, you use a custom date with the time 00:00:00. Moreover, this is an outdated version, even the current of 22 September does not work under Windows. Gilles has to create new packages. Maik
Ok, I think I still don't understand the tool. I thought the "Timestamp Used" was the current time of the picture, and "Timestamp Updated" the new date that will be applied. I'll wait until the next version and try again.
Right, the timestamp used is the source: - digikam timestamp -> from the database - the file date - an EXIF metadata field - custom timestamp This can then be copied or a time added or subtracted. Maik
Tested here with the Windows build >= September 26, Time Adjust tool works fine on Windows. Maik
Thank you, I will download the newer version of Digikam.
