It would be very helpful if the tags that are assigned to an image were highlighted in the tags viewer when the image is selected. Especially if there are many different tags for the selected image there is not enough space in the icon view to display them all. That way it would be easier to check if all relevant tags are assigned. When two or more images are selected, all of the contained tags could be highlighted (OR) or only the ones that are common to all selected images (AND). Right now I'm not sure which solution would be best; ideally the behavior would be configurable in the preferences.
All tags contained in the image have a CheckBox in the tree view. This makes it very easy for me to recognize which tags are selected. Is this really bad to see on OS X? Maybe upload a screenshot. Maik
Oh, now I see. Coming from MediaPro, I'm new to digiKam, so I focused on the Tags bar on the left-hand side of the application. That one does not mark the tags of the selected image, but the Tags tab of the Captions bar on the right-hand side does. Sorry for the confusion. As far as I am concerned, you can close this ticket.
