(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: kmail Version: KMAIL 1.3 (using KDE 2.2.1 ) Severity: wishlist Installed from: SuSE RPMs Compiler: Not Specified OS: Linux OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified I would like to run KMAIL from a Kylix program with parameters like this: >kmail -s Valami --msg /home/User1/kmailtest.txt The file I would like to be displayed as the email's text can't be loaded correctly if I use Hungarian accents in it. What should I do? Is there some kind of parameter that I can use for customizing the header or something? And how should I use that? Many thanks in advance! Krisz Hungary (Submitted via bugs.kde.org) (Called from KBugReport dialog. Fields Application KDE Version OS Compiler manually changed)

What should I do? Currently we set the charset to utf-8. So you have to encode the=20 Hungarian accents in utf-8. If you can't do this with Kylix then you=20 could use recode for this. We should probably make it possible to specify a charset on the command=20 line. Or alternatively add the options --use-utf8 and=20 - --use-local-encoding where --use-utf8 would be the default.
