Before and after screenshot

If I rotate an image, the file size is increased dramatically.

In the attached example, a 3.0MB file more than doubles in size.

Is this expected behaviour please and if so, is there a way to avoid it?

In image editor, JPEG is decompressed. All operations are process in decompresse data and this is the expected behavior. And in this case, you use the JPEG compression level set in editor.

Use Batch Queue Manager to process a lossless rotation of jpeg without decompression and re-compression process. You can also rotate or flip directly in Album view using Item Menu option.
