Created attachment 114927 [details] Remapped keys with custom script Hi, Starting from few KDE versions ago I'm facing the issue with keyboard backlight. I'm found different tutorials on internet regarding to different options to pass to the kernel and so on, but none are working anymore for me. The issue is pretty simple: the shortcuts from the laptop are not working at all, even if I'm defining an alternative shortcut for example CTRL+ALT+U for increasing the brightness or CTRL+ALT+D for decreasing the brightness. I've checked the system parameters and I've notice that /etc/acpi/asus-keyboard-backlight.sh up and /etc/acpi/asus-keyboard-backlight.sh down is working as a normal user. Remapping the keys from the Keyboard to a custom shortcut and using the script /etc/acpi/asus-keyboard-backlight.sh I was able to use back the keyboard brightness again. The Battery and Brightness widget doens't show me the keyboard brightness at all and I'm suspecting the problem is actually from this daemon, not from the kernel or keyboard.
A lot has changed since then... Any chance you can test again with the latest version of Plasma? Thanks!
