A potential solution is, to simply show the title bar text from the browser, respectively the currently played song name in the different media players and so on. Thanks a lot
I don't think this is possible, it is the application's responsibility to set sensible metadata on their audio streams. Can you please provide the output of pacmd list-sink-inputs
