Hi, one Wayland-specific. Steps to reproduce: 1. Use Wayland session (kwin_wayland) 2. Set your panel to "Windows can cover" 3. Launch a maximized application 4. Move your mouse to edge of the screen where the panel is Expected results: Panel pops up. This is the way it works under X session. Actual results: Panel does not show up. You need to move windows away from panel to see it. It does not matter whether the covering window is native Wayland or XWayland one. After setting the panel to "Auto hide" it works correctly - it pops up even with maximized applications. KDE Plasma: 5.13.5 KDE Frameworks: 5.49.0 Qt: 5.11.1 Wayland: 1.15.0
Can reproduce Operating System: KDE neon Developer Edition KDE Plasma Version: 5.13.5 Qt Version: 5.11.1 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.51.0 Kernel Version: 4.15.0-34-generic OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz Memory: 7,7 GiB of RAM
Confirmed still exists and reproduced on my machine
Also tested on Plasma-git packages on Manjaro, same problem.
Totally forgot to mark this in the merge request... This will be fixed once https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-workspace/-/merge_requests/176 lands
done
Thanks a bunch! This combined with support for primary clipboard makes Plasma Wayland smooth for me. Sending lots of love. <3
