Date format on my system is dd/mm/yyyy but the title bar shows yyyy/mm/dd
when I click "Yesterday" in the side bar under "Recently saved".
See the screenshot taken on neon dev unstable.

I confirm the same. It appears the title follows ISO 8601 format.

Irrelevant. Newer Dolphin does not show date in window decoration when we click on "Recent files/locations".

Date that does not respect the regional settings is displayed in window
decoration and tab bar when baloo is enabled and we click on "Modified Yesterday"
under "Recent" secion of Places panel. See the attached screenshot please.

'Modified yesterday' entry is only available when baloo is enabled. This bug persists.
