Description Dav 2018-09-02 07:43:51 UTC
Hi there,

thanks for your amazing job regarding the google export: I had many issues with the previous releases. With this one, it works.

When trying to upload the pictures to my google photos account, I've seen that only folders which contain at least one picture are listed in the available folders for export.

To reproduce:
- create an empty folder in your google account
- from Digikam, start the export process: this folder won't be listed, even if you try a refresh
- add a picture from your Google photos to this folder
- refresh the available folders for export from Digikam
- the folder is not listed

Gilles,

no, this problem comes from the appimage version, not from the git repository.

Kind regards

well you use code from git/master, not one set at beta1...

I can not reproduce the problem. Here also empty albums are listed. I can only create a empty album with digiKam. Under the Google Browser interface, I always have to add a image to create an album?

Hello Gilles,

Not sure what you mean: this appimage have been downloaded (either from the digikam website or one of your link), it has not been compiled.

Gilles,

Sorry, my update was perhaps not clear:

To reproduce:
> - create an empty folder in your google account
> - from Digikam, start the export process: this folder won't be listed, even
> if you try a refresh
> - add a picture from your Google photos to this folder
> - refresh the available folders for export from Digikam

I expect that the folder would be displayed if it contains at least one picture or not.
Is it the behaviour you defined? or I expected something wrong?

Ah yes now it's clear.

Well listing folder must give all items, including empty ones, in theory, if Google API work like this of course.

A bug in DK is possible, but a bug in Google is not to exclude too...

Please test with 6.2.0 pre-release bundles available here :

Thanks in advance
