Both architectures are going to be combined and some of their parts to be reimplemented in kwin and plasma. Part of that discussion is when the pager and the plasma taskmanager will support VDs and Activities under wayland. Currently that isnt the case. Even plasma taskmanagers in plasma panels cant be informed about Activities and VDs settings of the various windows. When such functionality arrives for plasma under wayland then I suppose that Latte will be able to support them both.
