Only after I edited a file that I had inserted a duplacate image and saved and re-opened and corrected, did the crash occur.

The problem only seems to repeat when having trouble getting the image to delete.  Perhaps not working it properly in text mode.  In fact the only way I now can get the image deleted is to make it function by being inline like a character and going into text mode and using the shift and arrow keys to get it apprently selected and then using the delete key on the keyboard.
