This is a minor 'papercut' issue from an end-user's perspective. The global and custom keyboard shortcuts are accessed separately on Plasma. Requests: 1. Keep the 'global' and 'custom' shortcuts in the same widget/ app/ window, say "Keyboard Shortcuts" (but have them visually separated tabs, so that a user can easily tell which ones were custom created, and which ones were set by default.) 2. Within the Global Shortcuts view, incorporate an easy way to show which were edited by a user and are no longer in their default state. 3. Currently, within the Global Shortcuts view, the keybindings are bunched under specific tabs (e.g., "Plasma", "Kwin" etc.). When searching for a keybinding in the search bar of Global Shortcuts, the results only query the keybindings bunched within the highlighted tab. For example, say the user is looking for the keybinding related to maximizing windows. Typing 'maximize' in the search bar brings up a result only if the proper tab is selected. This makes it harder to "discover" existing actions for which keybindings can be set. Request: Make the search bar in Global Shortcuts search through all tabs regardless of the one highlighted. (I'm not sure if this feature request falls under the Kwin category. If there's a more appropriate place to post this, please let me know, and I'll be happy to do so.) Thanks.
Adding another piece to what said above: Feature request related to keyboard shortcut export/import: Have a single import/export mechanism that can export global and custom keyboard shortcuts, while keeping the granularity of the export / import similar to what exists today on the Plasma desktop.
This was all done in Plasma 5.20!
