Description Unknown 2018-08-30 11:05:40 UTC
kate does not automatically switch the syntax when reading files.

now kate: zshrc > Normal
Desired movement: zshrc > zsh

Such a description is not found in the setting.
For now it seems to be switched manually.
At atom which is editor, syntax is automatically switched by extension.
We think that this is a good technique for improving visibility by syntax regardless of which file is opened.

Hi there from the Bugsquad!

I am not experiencing this bahavior. Kate does automatically select syntax highlighting types based on file extension, including .zshrc. I tested this on Kate 18.08 today successfully with a test.zshrc file I populated with an example template. Please let us know if you continue to have this issue.
