Description Raphaël Jakse 2018-08-28 13:09:37 UTC
Hello,

Sorry if it is a duplicate, I did not know how to look for this issue.

On Plasma 15.13.4 (Ubuntu 18.10 Cosmic), and also in previous versions, on an AZERTY keyboard, I am unable to use this set of custom auxiliary shortcuts:
 - Alt + ">" (typing ALT + SHIFT + "< >") for Media Controller : Next media
 - Alt + "<" (typing ALT + "< >") for Media Controller : Previous media

If I set these two shortcuts:
 - none of these shortcuts work
 - I cannot use ALT + "." (typing ALT + SHIFT + ". ;") in a shell (in Konsole) to call the last argument of the previous command: Konsole or the shell seems to lose the focus while keys are pressed.

If I only set:
 - Alt + ">" (typing ALT + SHIFT + "< >") for Media Controller : Next media

Things work as expected.

Typing ALT, then "< >", then SHIFT does not trigger the next media shortcut (as I would expect), so the component handling shortcuts should not be confused and should be able to handle both shortcuts without breaking ALT + ".".

Cheers,
Raphaël

Mostly Bug 362775.

Also maybe bits of Bug 294245 and/or Bug 396125.
