Current krusaderrc showing desired [Synchronize] settings.

The [Synchronize] settings aren't being loaded from the krusaderrc. Particularly annoying are the filter settings -- that's a lot to replicate each time.

As a side note, my krusaderrc says it is from version 2.4.0-beta3 -- which I've never had installed -- when krusader itself reports 2.6.0 as version.

I've attached my current krusaderrc and a screenshot of the dialog with all settings evidently missing.

Hi! It's very strange. Using the git version of Krusader, under Kubuntu 18.04, nothing of that happens. In the krusaderrc file it says " Version=2.8.0-dev" (because the 2.4.0-beta3 version was never used in that computer, etc.).

Can you try using a newer version of Krusader?

If you can follow the steps of
    https://commits.kde.org/krusader?path=INSTALL
then you can build Krusader and get the latest features :-) , tell Krusader developers about what you find, improve Krusader :-), etc.

With a new version of Krusader, it will also look much better than in the screenshot that you sent (the icons should been seen (instead of a text description), etc.).

*shakes head* Still not loading.

So then I tried to paste the most recent filter from the rc file and click the buttons manually. It totally borks up. I hope I can find the version I was using before so I can have a working copy. *sigh*

I found a second krusaderrc file, though! My old one is in ~/.kde/share/config but the new one is in just ~/.config. It is loading its stuff. But, as I said, the compare is coming out all wrong. Listing files I filtered and not listing files I know to be changed. Last version I had that worked was 2.0.0. I might just have to go get that one.

Now I feel embarrassed. When I copy/pasted the old filter, I forgot the leading '*|' to mark everything listed as exclusions. *sigh*

I retract my earlier comment. I'll stick with 2.8. Kudos on the best synchronizer this side of Unison.

It's nice to hear that it worked :-)
