I have a forwarded email. the reader shows me the encapsulated message.
I click on the "Encapsulated message".

Another reader window is started showing the encapsulated message
Click the "Reply" button and I get a composer window.
so far so good.

Now, quit the reply window.
Go back to the reader window with the encapsulated message.
Click and hold the Reply button, select "Reply to Author".
=> assert

I can't reproduce this, neither with an older KMail 5.7.3, nor with current git master which identifies itself as 5.12.40 alpha. Can you still reproduce this?
