Here is a video demonstrating the issues. Basically the glyph icons do not display correctly in konsole they are cut in half. It used to be only a couple of them that I used now its the majority of them after update. I used to be able to do get_icon_names and copy and paste the icon with the problem into my zshrc file and add a space and it would resolve the problem. However I can't even do that any more because they don't even display correctly with get_icon_names. I am using zsh,oh-my-zsh and powerlevel9k theme. This works fine in termite but not in Konsole. Here is a screenshot to display the issue incase the video doesn't work. https://i.imgur.com/B7UqFhc.png

Confirm! This is a really old bug, seems like the only KDE Terminal fails to render Double-Width glyph characters. The current solution is to use Mono fonts or add space after the glyphs in the rc file.

If you have the ability to test master, please do. There's new code for this which will be released in 18.12

I'm fairly sure this is fixed.

I use konsole 18.12 and the issue is still present
Comment 5 zaqs114 2018-12-28 09:39:17 UTC
In 18.12 issue is still present.
Reverting to 18.04.03 solved the problem for me.
