Created attachment 114483 [details] Unreadable Tooltip For some time I use "Showfoto" to postprocess pictures, and I am very excited. It's great software, and it's really great what you can do with it. I can not say anything about digicam because I do not use it. So far, I have not had any need for software to manage images, because images are files for me, and I use the file manager to manage files. I used to have "show photo 4.12.0". Now I switched from a 32-bit Linux version to a 64-bit version (unfortunately), and I have "show photo 5.6.0", because a lot has changed for the worse here. Previously, I could double-click in the input field to change the image size, and then numerically type in the value (for example, 1920x1080), done. Now there is no longer this option, but instead a slider that you can only approximate the desired value, and then to click on tiny arrows, with which you can change the value by only 1 pixel per click. You can not even hold the arrow down, but you have to click in single steps until you reach the desired value. This is much more complicated than before! Why? The old version was largely translated into German, while the new version was mostly English. I had to make sure that it really is the newer version, because I do not understand why software is being developed, and the newer version is then more incomplete than the old one. Another bug that was already present in the old version is still present in the new version, namely that the tooltips are yellow with white text, and you can not read them. Previously you could press "Ctrl +" and "Ctrl -" to zoom in or out, or just "+" or "-". That too does not work anymore. I use "Linux Mint 19, 64-bit", and before that "Linux Mint 18, 32-bit". Best regards, Lorenz Hoppe
To start the input in the sliders press the right mouse button, then you get an input field. Which color scheme do you use? Please test it with another color scheme built into digiKam. We have already closed a bug under Windows that generated broken tooltips colors. Please test the AppImage of digiKam-6.0.0 beta1 from https://files.kde.org/digikam/. Make a backup of your database beforehand. Maik
