Description Irwin 2002-03-25 01:52:09 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kwrite
Version: KDE 2.9.2
Severity: normal
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

This problem applies to KWrite and Kate and likely any other application using the KDE Editing Module.

When you are editing text at the bottom of the KWrite window and you press 'enter' the window does not scroll down with you to display a blank line. This prevents the user from knowing exactly how many lines they are below their last line of text.

To recreate:

1) Open a new KWrite window.
2) Type lines of text and press 'Return'.
3) Repeat until your cursor is at the bottom of the Window.
4) Type some text at the bottom of the Window.
5) Press 'Return'.

Notice:

-That your current view does not scroll down to the new line
-That the cursor does not move to the new line
-That the scrollbar DOES increase in length

Thank you!
