Description Jonathan Riddell 2018-08-13 10:06:36 UTC
When starting a Plasma Wayland session I see ksplash has an entry in the task manager while it is still running. It goes away soon enough once ksplash quits but it looks inelegant.

Can you pleae add more info about your system?
I saw this Panel task in the past, don't see it currently

I'm not sure but this is also could be possibly due to update from SATA SSD to M.2 SSD
Comment 3 Alexander Mentyu 2018-09-12 12:51:46 UTC
Can again reproduce this bug - looks like when a lots of windows are session restored
Comment 4 Patrick Silva 2018-09-14 16:11:41 UTC
I can confirm in plasma 5.14 beta, Arch Linux.
Splash screen is also buggy because it does not occupy the whole screen.
Comment 5 Alexander Mentyu 2018-09-19 11:21:02 UTC
Cannot reproduce this bug currently - KSplash is displayed in fullscreen - no panel is visible and it fades into desktop without any icon visible in the panel

KDE Frameworks Version: 5.51.0

Looks like this bug is reproducible for me when logging out from X11 session and logging in Wayland session - not when logging out and logging in Wayland session
