Hi there,

I was just wondering if it could be possible to have an error message when we try to move some files in a collection stored on a network share which is not mounted?

I have two collections: one locally stored and the other one on a network share.
Yesterday, after editing my photos in my locally stored collection, I've moved them in the network share collection.
Digikam told me that the folder where I wanted to put my photos didn't exists anymore. This is true, the network share wasn't mounted!
But my problem was that the files I moved from my local storage were not displayed anymore in digikam: where were my pictures!?
I get them back after closing and restarting digikam, but it has been very stressful.

Do you think we could have an error message when we try to move files in an album stored in a network share which has not been mounted?

Regards

The problem is fixed in the developer version of digiKam-6.0.0. The files were first moved to the DB, but because they could not be physically moved, they were gone. In digiKam-6.0.0 they are only moved in the DB if it was physically successful.
