It would be very useful to be able to trigger a call to a number specified remotely with KDEConnect. Use case: I'm working with my computer, I have a headset connected to my phone. I receive an email in the computer (i.e. from a ticketing system) with a telephone number that I must call. With the proposed functionality I could just select the number in the desktop application, right click->"make call on Telephone X", and the phone would be calling without any further intervention. Or, maybe a protocol association could be made in the desktop (tel:...) ATM I'm using the shared clipboard feature to do that, but it's not ideal; I must get the phone, open the call app, paste the number, call. I can think of many other "hands free" applications for this feature. A "Hang Up" command would be the ideal extra complement to this.
Hello pm, kdeconnect already registers itself as a x-scheme-handler/tel handler this means that if you click on a link like call me on your desktop it should open op a dialog allowing you to select the phone to use to make the call. Depending on your phone's configuration it will then ask you which app to use to make the call (eg. Telephone or Skype etc.) You can also trigger this behavior by using the kdeconnect-handler comment (eg. kdeconnect-handler tel:+019876542
