Krita won't let me save or export my work into any other formats, such as .png. When I tell it to, I get an error telling me that it was unsuccessful and the reason field is blank. Please advise?

I'm sorry, but we need more information if we're to be able to help you, since this is very likely a local issue, and not a real bug in Krita.
