Hello, Plasma-browser integration extensions doesn't work for me. As a wanted to find the bug and tried to debug the extension, I found in about:debugging from Firefox the following error message: Reading manifest: Error processing background.persistent: Event pages are not currently supported. This will run as a persistent background page. Reading manifest: Error processing key: An unexpected property was found in the WebExtension manifest. I not sure if this error is the reason why plasma-browser-extension don't work (I also tried to use it in chrome and it doesn't work either). Here are my configuration: OS: Arch-Linux plasma-browser-integration-host: 5.13.3-1 (I also tried with master) plasma-browser-integration-extension: 1.2 Firefox: 61.0.0.1-1
Cannot reproduce the breakage. The key is documented as "should be set to false" explicitly. The extension does work in Firefox and Chrome here, despite the aforementioned warnings.
I can reproduce the issue on Fedora 28 with plasma-browser-integration-5.13.4-1.fc28.x86_64 and firefox-61.0.2-1.fc28.x86_64 installed. It does seem to depend on the browser configuration however. Have you tried restarting Firefox or starting it with a different (fresh) profile?
Since 2 days, this extension works. I have no idea why it's work now and not before. I didn't create a new fresh profile. But a least I can now enjoy the cool features provided by this extension :)
