When using multiple activities and you have “Show only tasks from the current activity” unchecked and “Group tasks of the same application” checked nothing happens when you click on a group if it is not in the current activity. If it is a single instance, it switches to the activity and activates the window. When it is multiple instances it does nothing apparent.
Ok, this is happening also with plasma taskmanagers so I suppose this is something upstream and not Latte. How to reproduce for plasma icon-only taskmanager: 1. Add an icon-only plasma taskmanager 2. Disable "Show only tasks from current activity" 3. open two windows of same app in Activity A 4. Switch to Activity B and try to click the grouped windows from Activity A, it doesnt do anything
To be clear, the "grouped windows" you click on are the big previews in the middle of the screen, right?
(In reply to Eike Hein from comment #2) > To be clear, the "grouped windows" you click on are the big previews in the > middle of the screen, right? no, it is in the plasma icon-only taskmanager an icon of two grouped windows. e.g. a dolphin icon of two dolphin windows that are located in different activity. when clicking that icon the big previews in the middle of the screen are not shown at all.
Clicking a group in Icontasks usually starts the "Present Windows" KWin effect, that's why I asked. You are seeing something else?
Yes, the Present Windows KWin effect isn't triggered at all in this case

The issue I originally reported which was that this was an issue with Latte Dock is still present. When windows are grouped and shown in other activities, switching activities and then clicking on the group does nothing.
This is my test in 5.24.0 Create a second activity Disable "Show only tasks from current activity" Open 2 instances of dolphine. assign each instance to an activity. When I click in the grouped widget. Plasma switches automatically to next instance and assigned activity. To me, this behaviour looks correct as with single click there is no way to know which isntance the user wants to select. But honestly my standard use case is to have "Show only tasks from current activity" active. Regards Galder

Two things, * The issue occurs when both instances of the application are in Activity A and you switch to Activity B and then click in the grouped widget * I know another person reported this as not working with a plasma panel but I can't replicate that. For me, it only fails with Latte Dock
