In bug 396709 it has been mentioned that the portable package does not have any start menu entries. 

This could be solved by using kwinstartmenu, which was created as helper tool for the KDE on Windows distribution (see https://cgit.kde.org/kde-runtime.git/tree/platforms/win/kwinstartmenu?h=KDE/4.14) and is already included in KMyMoney binary Windows packages.

The task is to create batch files for (un)installing start menu entries in the top level of the portable package.

That affects also the version 5 releases/snapshots

This is an issue limited to the portable packages as the installer creates such entries and is still open
