Using Kubuntu 18.04 I have the following problem (from the original release up to the recent Plasma update to 5.12.6): After booting the Laptop everything works fine - notifications are shown as small rectangles in the lower right corner of the screen - global shortcuts (e.g. I assigned Konsole the shortcut Meta+T in KDE Menu Editor -> Click on Konsole -> Advanced Tab) After a suspend/resume cycle the mentioned things do not work anymore - no notification popups - global shortcuts simply don't work However, as soon as I start khotkeys (or Chrome if I remember correctly) the notification popups of events after the resume (e.g. WLAN connection established) pop up. Also the hotkeys start to work again. It seems to me that a service is not reactivated on resume. Also this is related: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=235185
Addendum: the notifications are held back completely until I start khotkeys. They are also not visible in the systray. After the start of khotkeys they appear in the systray *and* the notification popup is shown. Also I can not reproduce that Chromium (not Chrome) also triggers the solution.
