Description Fabian 2018-07-18 18:43:19 UTC
Whenever I click on the play button after clicking in any empty area in the timeline (not a clip), the program freezes.

Here's a video of it, you can see that play/pause works fine before clicking in the timeline: https://youtu.be/toYk9BzGYSg

You probably need a log for this, where can I find it? I already tried just running it from the terminal, but there's no useful output.

Only after clicking on an empty spot of the timeline or always? Only if there is a clip or always?

went back to check again, and it happens always.
every time i try to play a clip it freezes, then releases (but doesn't play the clip) then another click freezes it again.

Then that's a different issue.

@Fabian. Test with the newest version: 18.08.1
Comment 6 emohr 2019-08-25 12:47:30 UTC
This issue should be solved.

Linux
Please try with the current Kdenlive AppImage version 19.08.0a to see if there are any packaging issues https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/release/

If the problem/issue doesn't occur when using the AppImage, then it's your configuration or packaging.

Windows
Please try with the current Kdenlive version 19.08.0

I will try it when I have a bit more time again. Syntaptic on Debian only shows version 16.12.2-1.
